William C. Vassell
Chairman and CEO

William “Bill” Vassell started his security career in 1980 as a security officer, while attending Western Connecticut State College. Recognizing the need for a quality service provider, Mr. Vassell founded Command Security Corporation in 1983 to fill that void. Under his leadership, Command Security Corporation grew into a publicly traded company with revenues of $100 million and currently trades on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol MOC. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer until 2004.

In December 2004 Mr. Vassell purchased Murdoch Security & Investigations, Inc., a full-service security and investigative firm. He then added Randolph Services, New World Security, and Fortress Protective Services. Mr. Vassell is currently in the process of building a national, owner-managed security group. He is actively negotiating with and merging high-quality security companies onto the existing framework to facilitate growth, as well as expanding his current staff of seasoned security executives by hiring additional high-level professionals. Mr. Vassell is currently Chairman and CEO of Murdoch Security Group.

Mr. Vassell has maintained a position as an entrepreneur and industry leader for the last three decades. He has been featured in many regional and national publications, including The Los Angeles Times and USA Today, as well as in security trade journals.

His professional memberships include the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), where he was formerly mid-Hudson Chapter Chairman; the National Association of Security Companies (NASCO); the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State (ALDONYS), where he was recently President; the International Security Management Association (ISMA); and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). Mr. Vassell has achieved the designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP). In addition, he serves on the Sterling National Bank Business Advisory Board.


Robert L. Goldstein
Senior Vice President

Mr. Goldstein is a seasoned executive with 30 years experience in the security industry. He has served as Senior Vice President at Management Safeguards, United Security Group, and Command Security. His distinguished service capabilities include Operational and Marketing expertise, Client Relations bonding, Quality Assurance, Materially building corporate structure and company wide activities. He also served as Senior Consultant, Director of Investigations, Senior Account Coordinator and director of Human Resources. Over the last five years he has sold over 4 million dollars of new business starts annually. Mr. Goldstein holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School and an LLB from Brooklyn and New York Law, as well as a BBA degree from Baruch School of Business.

 


Nick J. Boelens
Vice President

Nick Boelens came to Randolph Services as general manager in 2004, stepping into his current role in 2006. He worked at Burns International Services Corporation from 1983 until 2001, holding a succession of roles, including vice president. Before joining Burns International, he was a security consultant to Western Airlines. He earned a bachelor’s degree in law enforcement administration and industrial security from Western Illinois University. An active member of ASIS International (formerly the American Society of Industrial Security) since 1982, he has held various leadership roles, including San Diego Chapter Chairman in 1985.



Farouk Mohammed
Chief Financial Officer

Farouk Mohammed has served as chief financial officer of Murdoch Security Group since 2005. He brings more than a quarter century of experience, gained in both the public and private sectors.

From 1973 to 1988, Mr. Mohammed worked as an accountant in the Guyana government. He entered the private sector in 1988 as an accountancy manager and joined the security industry in 2004.
