Training

Murdoch Security Group and its group partners comply with all state-mandated training requirements. Employees also receive site-specific training to prepare them for their actual assignments. Our training program includes the following:

Initial Training
Initial training takes place in a classroom with an instructor using audiovisual and written materials. This training encompasses any state required material as well as the fundamentals of becoming a security officer. The training ends with a written exam required by the state or our test of the materials presented.

On-the-Job Training
On-the-job training begins in the classroom where employees review site-specific job procedures. The program then progresses to the job location, with a designated supervisor providing additional guidance. All training ends with a written exam that tests job knowledge and mastery of post instructions.

Continued Education Program
Security officers require formal, ongoing training on a regular basis to maintain their sense of belonging to an organization that cares about their professional development and customer service delivery. This program includes training modules that address both general and site-specific topics.  All training ends with a written exam of the materials presented.
